First: I could not understand why the game received so much hate.
I have to say I enjoyed the whole journey to Arlathan, Antiva, Rivain and all the other regions.
Yes, the game isn't that dark anymore as maybe the other parts were, and maybe there are some
modern topics present in that "medieval" environment, but that makes this not a bad game!
The story was interesting, the tragedies of some of the companions are really well told, and the home base in the fade
was something I appreciated.
As I lost Davrin and Belara by a hair's breadth too, based on my decisions, this leaves me really sad behind, not knowing
whether I could have done something differently.
So YES, I like the game!
Proof of Statistics¶
I've finished Dragon Age: The Veilguard after 83 hoursi, and so I exceeded my estimate by 16 hours...not that bad.
As this is a single player only game, I managed to get all the achievements in the game (52/52), so from this point of view, I missed
the "howlongtobeat" completionist estimation by only 4 hours.
As usual, I did all the main, side and companion quests in the game. At the end, I only missed 11% of the Codex entries, maybe not in
the open world, but in the quest-related maps. But that was more than enough to get the max. Caretaker shop rank.
The last achievement, which only reveals after the credit scenes, reveals that Bioware isn't done with the franchise and definitely has
some ideas for another game in the world of Thedas.
I hope that this will not just remain an idea and could be done after Mass Effect 5.
